Shaping the Future of Collaboration: How Panasonic Connect and Igloo Vision Are Enhancing Immersive Experiences

3 min read

Immersive technology is transforming how we work, learn, and collaborate. Igloo Vision, a leader in delivering immersive meeting room spaces, is at the forefront of this shift, creating innovative environments that enhance communication and productivity. In partnership with Panasonic Connect, Igloo Vision is delivering cutting-edge solutions for offices and educational institutions.

We recently connected with Kerry Head, CEO of Igloo Vision, for a discussion on how immersive experiences are shaping the future of collaboration, and what our partnership means for organizations worldwide.

Q: Can you tell us about Igloo Vision, the experiences you create, and how you're working with Panasonic Connect?

Kerry Head: Igloo Vision has been in business for 15 years, first with a focus on experiential events using projection technology. Now, we are much more focused on immersive technology for meeting rooms and education spaces. We’re bringing those to life with Panasonic’s PT-RQ7 Series 1-Chip DLP™ 4K Projectors and Media Production Suite software to allow for more collaborative and engaging experiences with floor to ceiling projections. The value of these rooms lies in bringing teams together. Instead of being tied to your laptop, you enter a fresh space where you're not distracted by devices, and you can truly engage with the purpose of your meeting through immersive visualization.

Q: What role do immersive visuals play in office spaces? Can you share some examples you've seen?

Kerry Head: Immersive visuals are transformative, particularly in environments like ideation centers. For example, large consulting firms create these spaces where clients can brainstorm and tackle complex projects with a lot of data. You can display layers of information from various sources on the walls, which enhances collaboration. For example, engineers working on major infrastructure projects can integrate deep technical data with project management tools, ensuring that everyone is on the same page. It's all about creating a space for collaboration.

Q: How has the evolution of technology helped transform immersive experiences in recent years?

Kerry Head: Graphics cards and projector quality have greatly improved, making it possible to display high-resolution images faster and more affordably. The combination of better hardware and software has also made these experiences easier to produce. People expect meeting rooms to be as simple to navigate as their smartphones, and that's where we're seeing the most progress—creating immersive spaces that are user-friendly.

Q: How will collaborations like your partnership with Panasonic Connect shape the industry's future?

Kerry Head: Panasonic Connect serves a wide range of customers, and our collaboration is an opportunity to offer something new. For example, education clients who are already using projectors for single-wall displays can now create immersive spaces by adding a few more projectors. It's about enhancing existing technology for clients and meeting the expectations of the next generation, who are looking for dynamic digital learning tools. This partnership with Panasonic Connect allows us to provide those tools and help create engaging, immersive environments in offices and classrooms.

Q: What's next for the future of immersive experiences in offices and educational environments?

Kerry Head: We're moving beyond innovation labs and proof-of-concept projects. The future lies in broader rollouts across entire organizations, so every department can benefit from immersive rooms, not just the head office or innovation centers. In education, it's about engagement. Studies show that retention in immersive spaces is about 30% higher than in traditional learning environments. Kids aren’t engaging with books in the same way they used to, so we need these immersive tools to stimulate learning. That's where the technology has the potential to make a real impact.
