Panasonic Connect Reinvigorates National Team Meeting with Immersive AV Equipment

3 min read

Corporate events have a stigma for being boring. Historically, corporate events – like industry conferences and company-owned summits – involve sitting through hours of presentations in a dark room with content projected on a pull-down screen. Sounds familiar, right? However, a Harvard Business Review survey revealed that 95% of people view face-to-face meetings as key to building long-term relationships in the workplace. When carried out correctly, meetings and events can create a stronger sense of community and bring people together in an interactive way. Audiovisual solutions play a key role in helping companies bring this to life.

Panasonic Connect believes technology has the power to unite people through engaging and inspiring experiences. That’s why integrating our AV solutions throughout our annual national team meeting, CONNECT24, was an obvious choice. This four-day event, held at the Hyatt Regency New Orleans, culminated Panasonic Connect North America and our executive team from Japan for a series of companywide and business unit specific meetings and activities. These sessions helped attendees build meaningful relationships, reflect on the previous year, and get energized about the year ahead.

To bring these meetings to life, we collaborated with production company Encore during the CONNECT24 planning process to install Panasonic’s award-winning AV solutions throughout the meeting spaces. Together, we set up 16 high-brightness projectors with associated lenses, 10 microphones, and the KAIROS IT/IP live video production platform to deliver a full live production experience for employees. Encore also executed the AV production for our General Sessions, held in the main ballroom.

To craft an engaging meeting experience for our General Sessions, four (4) PT-RQ22KU 3-Chip DLP™ 4K+ Large Venue Laser Projectors were installed to deliver professional presentations, setting the tone of the event via high-quality 4K visuals. Panasonic’s live video production platform, KAIROS, produced the on-screen content during the General Sessions. The capabilities of KAIROS – from layering, cropping, resizing, and more – frees users from constraints of traditional hardware-based systems to bring an added layer of creativity to life.

Loni Fiscus, a freelancer with Bridge Digital, managed the KAIROS solution throughout CONNECT24 and was able to construct a layered approach in configuring visuals that fluidly blended static imagery with aesthetic blue and white lighting on the stage. This drew attendees’ attention to the stage and kept them engaged in the sessions. The added flexibility of KAIROS enabled Loni to create dynamic content in real-time and develop and save templates for recurring video or imagery used during different sessions.

Audio is another vital feature of any corporate or live experience. Encore equipped each presenter with a WX-ST400 lavalier microphone and bodypack before stepping foot on stage. This allowed presenters to move around freely without compromising the sound quality throughout the ballroom. The interoperability of Panasonic’s solutions allowed Loni to manage the audio and projector signals directly from KAIROS. This provided a smooth, seamless run of show while delivering dynamic content to attendees at faster, uninterrupted speeds.
